Learning Languages

This site is dedicated to arts and one aspect of that is helping to teach foreign languages.

Whether your experience with languages is one of success or failure, whether you speak not a word, have survival skills picked up at evening classes, or a rusty GCSE or A-level, this unique training can help you.  You can choose to take it very intensively (twelve hours over two days) or more regularly (a few hours weekly over a longer period).

Learning languages

Welcome to the learning a language page, designed to offer advice and information about leading language learning software. Please use the site to find information and resources for language learning, the products available, information on the companies who develop the software and recommended places to buy the software. Maybe you’re learning French, German, Arabic, Spanish, Mandarin or something else.

Teaching Arabic

If you’re moving to live in Dubai or anywhere else in the Middle East then you may wish to learn Arabic. Our standard Arabaic teaching program consists of four levels of language instruction from beginners to more advanced. The full-year curriculum consists of three monthly intervals, each semester is considered a term (semester). The estimated time for students to master each level of language instruction with our recommend institute is 28 classroom hours in group classes.

Language & Culture

The connection between culture and language has been noted as far back as the classical period and probably long before. The ancient Greeks, for example, distinguished between civilized peoples and bárbaros "those who babble", i.e. those who speak unintelligible languages. The fact that different groups speak different, unintelligible languages is often considered more tangible evidence for cultural differences than other less obvious cultural traits. Information provided by Servis.

The German romanticists of the 19th century such as Herder, Wundt and Humbolt, often saw language not just as one cultural trait among many but rather as the direct expression of a people's national character, and as such as culture in a kind of condensed form.

Books News 2015 and Now

But what if you are on holiday and need a good book far from home, or you do not belong to such an organisation? The National Book club to View scheme provides the answer. In 2011, NBC Council realised that the county was short of big country houses but had a vast number of interesting smaller houses. It devised a scheme whereby house owners print a brochure naming between one and 10 days when they open by appointment; likely visitors simply ring one of six tourist offices which co-ordinate the bookings and take payment in advance.
